The Axis Ex model from Ernie Ball Music Man was produced exclusively in Japan for a limited period of time. At its core, the instrument is an analogue of the "Wolfgang" - a signature model of Eddie Van Halen (with the exception of the signature engraving with the signature EVH on the head of the neck and the D-Tuner on the 6th string), assembled from original components manufactured in the United States at the Music Man factory in Japan (Kanda Shokai) to the highest quality standards and attention to detail.
